GMA is seeking candidates for an internship in our Policy and Strategic Planning/Global Strategies groups to be fully integrated into the teams and gain an understanding of GMA member priorities in the areas of strategic planning, well-being, and policy advocacy. The intern will also gain an understanding how policies and industry initiatives are developed and implemented.
Your key contacts will be GMA staff and member companies’ staff on an as needed basis.
Your day-to-day responsibilities would include:
Conduct research on issues of international policy affecting the CPG industry
Generate content (new articles) for Global Strategies newsletter
Draft presentations, conference reports, event summaries and other materials for Global Strategies staff
Implement support for Healthy Communities project
The best candidates will possess:
College sophomore or greater studying International Affairs, Business, Political Science or a related field with a demonstrated interest in CPG industry
Strong communication, research, and writing skills
Ability to work independently or in a team
Ability to manage competing priorities and multiple projects under tight deadlines
Fluency in Spanish, Portuguese, and/or Chinese helpful
