Details and responsibilities of the role •Focus on East Coast and Mid-West metropolitan areas of business development. •Domestic travel (up to 65%) as well as participate in Overseas Exhibitions. •You will first enroll in a 3 month training program in Belgium, to understand who we are and what we do: - Understand chocolate production from cocoa bean to liquid chocolate - Build extensive knowledge of our production facilities and capabilities - Get acquainted with our Sales processes and tools - Build relationships with key colleagues in Head Office •Reporting directly to the Commercial Director (based in Belgium), you are ultimately responsible for meeting our sales objectives for the US / Canada market by: - Growing existing business with present partners. Develop and execute account plans, deliver the targets according to the 3 year plan - push the sales in all main accounts in retail - Follow-up of local stock in NJ warehouse - Opening up new business opportunities - Opening up new sales channels - Developing all promotional plans and managing the overall marketing budget - Communicating with the factories in Belgium to ensure product supply (through forecasting) and to safeguard specific requirements for the local market (e.g. related to product labeling)
Specific Target •25% growth yearly. •Creating brand recognition and obtain a stronger position compared to our direct competitors.
•2-4 years of working experience in an international FMCG company with excellent sales skills: communication, listening, presentation, negotiation, capable of negotiating with large international companies, strong with numbers •Has strong interpersonal skills to work within teams and partners with differing skills and cultures and which operate in different locations •Is result oriented, hands-on & entrepreneurial •Computer skills : Word (advanced) - Excel (advanced) - Power point (advanced); knowledge of SAP is a plus . Preferred home office location; NY Metro, NJ, CT, PA, Chicago Metro.
