The President and CEO of Grocery Manufacturers Association (GMA) will work with the GMA Board of Directors to craft the organization's vision and build and execute the strategic plan. This role is responsible for the leadership, direction, and overall management of the association and its resources, including the recruitment, retention, and motivation of a high-performing team. As the primary spokesperson for the industry and a frequent speaker and commentator in multiple public settings, s/he articulates and enhances GMA's value proposition to current and prospective members, sustaining the current member base and attracting new members to join.
The President and CEO positions GMA as a leader among CPG trade associations and represents U.S.-based interests to the global Consumer Goods Forum. S/he is ultimately responsible for coordinating the work between GMA staff, the Washington offices of member companies, and affiliated organizations; improving education programs; developing new technologies to deliver services to members; and, incorporating cutting-edge research into the association's work.

--15+ years of senior leadership experience
--Stakeholder management experience
--Experience advocating before relevant policymakers and regulators
--Food, beverage, and consumer products industry expertise
--Undergraduate degree required; advanced degree preferred; a degree in a scientific area is a plus
